Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend started off with a trip to the zoo. Nevie LOVES animals. When it was time to leave, the only way I could keep her from crying was to tell her that the animals had to go "night-night". From that point on, she continually asked, "animals; night-night?".

Easter Weekend Continued ...

Our Easter weekend was quite busy. Friday was the zoo. Saturday started off with the Victory Over Violence walk, then a Birthday party, then a get together at my sister's. Sunday was church then our annual family Easter celebration at my cousin's house complete with good food, fun games, an Easter egg hunt, and a pinata. We had so much fun! This is a tradition that started before I was born. My fondest memories are of Easter Sundays spent with my immediate family and huge extended family in my Dad's hometown. I love that that Nevie gets to experience this tradition as well.

Petting Zoo

Thank goodness the event that we had planned for the weekend after Easter involved a petting zoo because all she's talked about since the zoo is animals.
