I don't want any more rice cereal!
Nevie has not made up her mind about rice cereal. We just started feeding it to her last week. She contemplates it for a few bites.....
And then we start to see her opinion form ....
And then we get this...
Do you think she's a fan of it? Ha!

Nevie's Baptism
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted my request.
Now I, in truth, give her to the Lord.
As long as she lives, she shall be dedicated to the Lord.”
1 Samuel 1:27-28
Nevie was baptized at Holy Family Catholic Church this past Sunday during noon mass. She is the only child I know with 5 Godparents, but as they say, it takes a village, right? A child can never have too many loving, Christian people in her life to help guide her and lead her down the right path. Nevie will definitely never lack in that regard between her Godparents and everyone in our families. She was so good during mass and didn't even cry when Father Jeff baptized her. She was blessed to have wonderful, close family in attendance to witness her become the newest member of the church. Afterwards, we all enjoyed lunch and cake to celebrate the occasion at our house. It was a beautiful day!

Today I'm 4 Months Old!!
It's so hard to believe that Nevie is 4 months old today. She is so precious and blesses us every morning with a huge smile. It really makes a wonderful start to the day. We had our 4 month check up yesterday. She weighed in at 13 lbs 6 oz and 24 1/4 inches long. She's growing and growing. She's holding up her head pretty well now and grabbing for things. She particularly likes the old school plastic keys that her grandparents on Chad's side bought her. Those things have been around forever ... nice to know that some things never change over time. She kicks up her legs with excitement and babbles like crazy. It's so fun to watch. We love her so!!
See what I mean about her smile?
I discovered that I could kick up my legs!
I'm ready to go for a ride.

I'm so excited I can't stand it!
Say what? :)
What a styling duo ...

Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving was particularly special this year because of little Nevie. We are so thankful for her and our family could not be more blessed. This Thanksgiving was also great because both sides of our family celebrated the day together. The day started off with a photo shoot of Nevie in her cute turkey day bibs and hat. She will one day be appalled by these photos, I'm sure. :) Chad fried a turkey and meanwhile I finished up the dishes I made for our family feast to be held at my sister's house. On the way, we had a nice conversation with Nevie's birth mom both wishing each other a Happy Thanksgiving. At my sister's house, we ate great food, played games, played with the kiddos, watched football and looked through all the sale ads in preparation for our traditional early bird shopping spree on Black Friday. It was a glorious day!
The bib says it all.
