I know it's been a long time since I last posted, but I think I have finally captured the highlights of our Summer. Hope you enjoy the 14 new posts below.

Summer 2013

Whew! Is it the end of September already? We have had a whirlwind of a Summer, but what fun! I think we were home only one weekend in July. We visited Washington, D.C., Houston, and Wimberley. To name a few things, we went to a couple of Concert in the Garden Shows. We went to a couple of Cats and Ranger games. Nevie did 4 weeks of swim lessons. We went to the circus. We visited the new baby elephants at the zoo. Of course, we can't forget about her birthday party. Everything we experienced this Summer was that much greater because we got to do it with this little character and her sweet "buddy" (Rohan). It took some time to blog about it all. :)

Concerts in the Garden 2013

We were lucky enough to get to go to two shows this Summer. It was hot but a wonderful time. A picnic and great music. Sounds like a fantastic way to spend a Summer evening to me, and you can tell from the video that Nevie really gets into the music. :)

Slash Park

This was the best idea ever for cooling off one particularly hot weekend. Wait....that's every weekend in Summer if you live in Texas.

Weekend With My Cousins

4th of July 2013

We spent the 4th in Houston this year. Nevie had a great time swimming and playing around in Kemah.

I can swim like a mermaid.

Ahhh....This mister fan is fabulous.

Ready to go see the fireworks, except I didn't like the loud noise they made.

Getting ready to soar to the sky.

It's hot and I am losing interest in these rides.

Washington D.C.

We had such a fantastic time in D.C. despite the heat and humidity. We had so many good meals. Took in the history. Enjoyed beautiful scenery. We did a LOT of walking and sight seeing. We only had one day to tour the city and museums and that is just not enough time to see everything. We will definitely go back.

Water taxi to Old Town Alexandria.

We toured the city on the double decker bus with all of the other tourists.

It was super hot and humid. Nev was a trooper.

Enjoying the view.

The River! One of our All Time Favorite Trips of the Year

And this is why.... these older kiddos have gone to the River every year since they were about three years old. Nevie and Emery have gone every year since they were the age of one. They love it and we love seeing the happiness on their faces during the long weekend.

Playing cards and eating lunch.

Say what??

Need a little mist to cool you off?

Aunt Judy gave us these princess slippers, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and purses. We love them!

Roar!!!! Are you scared?
(At a costume shop in Wimberley)

Getting them to all look at the camera and smile at the same time is impossible.

Wiped out - the both of them.  Yes, Nev fell asleep in her slippers and bracelets. She's a true princess indeed.

What a great day.

Nevie: So, Rohan do you love the river as much as I do?

Besos. I love my buddy.
