Bluebonnets in Bloom!!

The bluebonnets only show their beautiful blooms for a short time every year. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph one Texas beauty amongst the other. :)

I'm pondering life....hummm.... Wonder what I will become? Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, Scientist, Missionary, Philanthropist, Nobel Prize Winner .... they say the sky's the limit.

I'm a Texas girl at heart.

It's a little big but I'll grow into it. :)
How cute am I?

My cute little cowgirl!

It's a beautiful world out there.

 What a pretty flower.

I love playing amongst the bluebonnets.

Curly Hair Perhaps??

This is what Nevie's hair looks like when it's wet. Do you think she might end up having curly hair??

Sweet Peaceful Sleepers

Chad and Nevie fell asleep this morning after her morning bottle while I was getting ready for work. I wanted nothing more than to crawl back in bed with them. Ha! I hated to wake them up, but unfortunately we had to get going. I was running late for court as usual. :) They just looked so sweet and peaceful sleeping away that I had to snap a picture first.

Playing Hooky With Nevie!!

I decided to play hooky from work the other day after taking care of some business and pick Nevie up early from school. Chad skipped out early from his work and we went to the park. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed spending time with our little one. She is still trying to figure out the swing thing, but I think she had fun. Poor thing is so pale that she has to wear a hat to keep from getting a sunburn, but you know what? Pale is the new tan! :) She likes to chill outside and just feel the breeze.

Not to worry ... I am not about to topple over.

Swinging is evidently very relaxing.

About to go down a slide for the first time.

I'm 8 Months Old!!

Nevie turned 8 months old this past Saturday! Here she is with Funzy! She no longer lays beside him. She does more than just sit beside him. Now she kisses him. :) So cute!

We took Nevie to the park on her 8 month b-day and she tried out the swing for the first time. She wasn't too sure about it, but I think she was just trying to figure it out. She also got her ears pierced this weekend. She cried hard for a few minutes. It broke my heart, but she quickly forgot about the pain once we gave her a bottle. Thank God my mom was with me for moral support. :) She is such a happy and good baby. We are having so much fun with her. She's such a blessing in our lives. Have I mentioned how much we love her?? :)

I just love this little girl!

Showing off my teeth!

She's definitely a Daddy's girl.

Here we go!

So I just sit here?

And it moves?

What is this all about?

Ok, this is kinda fun.

It was painful for a minute, but I'm over it. What's important is I've got diamonds!! :)

Hannah House Fundraiser

On March 27th, we attended the Hannah House Fundraiser. Hannah House is the maternity home where our birth mom lived while she was pregnant with Nevie. It is such a great place and has helped so many girls. Our birth mom came to Texas to speak at the function and she did such a great job. She was so sweet too. We hadn't seen her since she returned home last September. We also got to have dinner with her the past Friday night. It was a wonderful visit. It was great to see her and we were so happy that she got to spend some time with Nevie. We've missed her!

Two Pearly Whites Made Their Appearance!

Ok, so it's been a while since I've updated the blog and so much has happened! On March 20th, Nevie's two bottom teeth broke through. She looks so cute with those pearly whites protruding through her gums. Let's see, what else? She is no longer bathing in a sling/chair type thing in the kitchen sink. She has graduated to a big girl bath tub. She is getting so big! She is also sitting so well all by herself and will get on her belly to reach for something, but then instead of crawling, she starts to cry. She hates being on her belly. This past Sunday though, she scooted herself back into the sitting position from her belly for the first time! It was awesome to witness and both Chad and I were there to see it! Her new favorite thing to do is make raspberries....courtesy of Daddy. :) She's such a joy in our lives!

Really? I just woke up. Can you give me 5 min to wipe the sleep out of my eyes?

It's been a fantastic day!

My first bath in the big girl tub.

Naked pictures....come on!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"Star of Mommy's Blog" ...So True!

This is what I think of traffic.

What DID they do before me? Messy face and all.... :)

What? Do I have something on my face?

I'm ready for school.

Wait! I've got my socks on....now I am ready for school.

I'm reaching....

I got it!

Somebody please sit me back up. I don't like being on my belly.

Can you see my pearly whites? Trust me; they are there!
