Opening Night for the Cats

We went to the first Cats game of the season last week. Chad had taught Nev to say "baseball" before we got in the car to go. It was no surprise that Nev loved Dodger - the Cats' Mascot given her love of animals. She gave Dodger a high five. Nev watched the game and clapped when everyone else clapped. It was like she knew exactly what was going on. Hot dogs, baseball and Nevie...what more could we want?? :)

Cheeeeessse!

It's time for baseball!

Maddie Girl

Sadly, our sweet dog Maddie passed away on May 5th after 12 years with us. I have to say that of all my birthday presents, Maddie was by far the best gift I ever received. She was my 27th birthday gift from Chad. Maddie was an amazing dog. So sweet. So protective of our family. So funny and beautiful. So affectionate. She had a big heart and a love for the ball. She was great with Nevie. She played an important role in Nev's development and was always up for the task. She served as her companion, pillow, walker, play mate and night time buddy. She was a great friend to us and big apart of our family. I don't know that we will ever really get over losing her. She is really missed.

May Fest 2012

It was a fabulous day of holding bunnies, winning prizes, riding the carousel, and Nevie's favorite pass time, playing in the sand.

Our Cutie

We love her so!

Main Street Arts Festival 2012

Nevie had her first taste of DOTS ice cream. We had a blast.

I am finally getting around to updating the blog slowly but surely. Nevie has grown so much and we have been busy.

It is still hard to get Nevie to smile for the camera, but nevertheless, she takes some cute pictures. She is weighing in at 26 lbs these days. She talks up a storm and is really smart. She even put a sentence together last week. In all fairness, it was a short sentence, but a sentence nonetheless. She said "more "mogurt" (that's how she pronounces yogurt) please". The girl LOVES yogurt and she's polite. :) She sometimes walks with her hands behind her back as if she is about to address the court. She gets that from me. Other times, she walks and talks waiving her hands all around - she gets that from Chad. She is a funny child and always has us laughing. With every passing day, we have more and more fun with her. At bedtime during the week, I always tell her about our plans for the weekend, and last Friday, I asked her what she wanted to do on Saturday. She responded, "animals". So guess where we spent Saturday afternoon?? The zoo. She LOVES animals. Give her some "mogurt" and walk her around the zoo and you will have a friend for life. You will be surprised at what a big girl she is now. It amazes us every time we look at her.

Today, I Love Mama...

So some days Nevie is all about Daddy and some days she is all about Mama. This day she was home sick. I stayed home with her that morning and Chad came home at lunch so that I  could go to work and he stayed with her that afternoon. Well, when Nev is sick she is all about Mama as you can see from this video.
