Happy 2nd Birthday Party Nevis!

So BG is two! Our little Nevie-Nev is growing up too fast. Time is going by too fast. We had her party this past Saturday and it was a wonderful time. Prior to her party starting, we were listening to music and Nev nestled her head in my neck and wrapped her arm around me tight. I was overwhelmed with the feeling of an overflowing heart. :) She is getting so big and we just love her so much. Thanks to everyone who came over to celebrate our sweet girl's 2nd birthday. She is surely loved as we had as much as 63 family and good friends at her party! She was so happy and it was because you all came to celebrate her big day!

Oh and if you can't tell, it was a farm animal themed party b/c as we all know by now Nevie LOVES animals. :) We had an awesome petting zoo and a pony named "Fancy". Since then, she has continually talked about the animals who were at her party and how she rode a pony. So cute!

I TWOOOO!!!!!

We can't believe it. Where did these past two years go? The day started off with singing happy birthday and a mini cinnamon roll. We had cupcakes at school and then went to play at an indoor playground and rode the "horsies" meaning carousel. When you ask her how old she is now she says "I twooooo (with lots of emphasis on the "oooo" part). Two years ago today the most beautiful gift came into our lives. Nevie is the most amazing and perfect little child. Our lives get better and better every day. We can't express how blessed we feel or the gratitude in our hearts for this precious gift from God and Nevie's birth-mother. Every time I hear her say "Mama" or "Daddy" or just talk or laugh, my heart melts. She has the greatest laugh! She is singing right now and I want to cry. She is so smart and full of personality. Love, Love, Love her!!! Happy 2nd Birthday BG!!!

Annual Cousins River Trip 2012

It was another fabulous weekend spent at the Blanco River with the cousins. Nevie had such a great time. She kept saying "I swimming!" She was really impressed with her purple water shoes too. She and Emery kept each other laughing. Nevie loved playing with Caleb, Diego and Kayleigh too. They are so great with her. We didn't know what to expect from Rohan. We weren't sure if he would swim and were a little concerned about him running off, but he did awesome ... for the most part. He did manage to escape out of our cabin and run down to the river not once, but twice. Can you blame him?? The river IS fun and it's HOT. Luckily, we were all still down at the river with the exception of Chad who had walked Rohan up the hill to the cabin so that he could come back to help us all load up our stuff and head in for the night. Rohan swam and swam and followed Nev around. The only glitch in our weekend was that Chad got another one of his terrible ear infections that landed us in the San Marcos ER at 3am. At least Nevie was healthy this year. Despite Chad's pain, we enjoyed lots of good food, played fun games and had a fantastic time with little Nev, Ro and our cousins/sister and brother-in-law!
