Nevie had an eventful 4
th of July weekend. Her grandparents came into town from Houston on Saturday. Sunday, we all went to the horse races at Lonestar Park. They do a nice family friendly thing every year for the 4
th with face painting, a petting zoo, bounce houses and a fireworks display at the end. There was a big group of us that went including, both sets of grandparents, my two sisters and their families and my brother-n-law’s sister and her family. We packed a picnic, loaded up Nevie's wagon, and brought a shade thing to set up, chairs, and anything we could think of that would keep us cool. Nevie had so much fun playing with everyone. It was hot but she was a champ. Poor thing was so worn out that she fell asleep half way through the fireworks show and didn’t wake until we were loading her up in her car seat. Man, that child can sleep through anything. Monday, we had a low key day playing in the baby pool and snacking on good ol' American 4
th of July favorites that Daddy grilled out in the heat for us: hot dogs, hamburgers, fruit salad, etc. Nevie had her first all beef hot dog. She loved it. :)
Let's color.
Whatcha got in there?
Umm, watermelon .... I want it.
My little Nevie-Nev.
Another picture?? Can't I just sit here and chill in my wagon in peace.
This squishy toy is so funny.
My cupcake tastes good!
Hanging in the wagon with Cousin Emery.
Hi!
Sweet kisses for Mama!
It's more fun to eat my bright toy than it is to look at it.
It was too hot for my dress, as patriotic as it was. I feel so much better now!
Watching fireworks.
Emery is fascinated by the fireworks.
I guess the fireworks show was not that exciting to Nevie, or she was just that tired.
Tuckered out.
Again, Nev is more interested in eating her toys. :)
Yay!
Eeekkk....Silly Daddy pouring water on me.
Attack of the Nevster!!
It's not time to get out now, is it?
